Down At The Bottom Of The Garden

This is the view from the bottom of Mr D's garden. Beautiful at any time but particularly stunning this morning with the snow on the hills.
There is a peace here that's impossible to describe. I love it!
Unfortunately as I tried to take a photo of the view with my camera I got the dreaded "no card in camera" message. Arse!
As soon as we were up the Little Misses wrapped themselves up and headed round to Uncle D's and straight down to the river (see extras)
It's so wonderful being able to let them go off on their own to call for Uncle D. A little taste of freedom for them!
Despite the bitter cold Miss E did her best to rebuild the dam across the river. Apparently the fabulous engineering of the Summer was only washed away a week or so ago in a huge storm and resulting flood.
The river was much deeper and faster flowing than it was the last time she saw it but Miss E was undeterred! We had to drag her away in the end. Before she went completely blue!!
We headed up the quarry for a gorgeous walk. Everywhere looked so pretty in the sunshine and it was amazing crunching through snow!
We had a couple of hours scrambling about. Miss E is like a mountain goat! It's quite heart stopping sometimes watching her skitter about on the slate completely heedless of the deadly precipices and potential avalanches!
Home to bacon sandwiches and an afternoon relaxing with TV and iPads.
And listening to Watford coming so heartbreakingly close to holding Manchester Utd to a draw.
I went into Llanwrst with my mum later in the afternoon for some supplies from the Co-Op, a mooch round the charity and craft shops, pie and chips for Mr D from the chippy and the biggest steak known to man from the butchers. A very successful trip!
Strictly and an early night.
Another wonderful day in the valley.
