Christmas Tree Festival

Tis the season for Christmas tree festivals. Shepshed Rotary have organised the event once more at St Botolph's Church. Basil and I popped along in the pouring rain this evening - in the car.

I had to restrain Basil on a lead because, if you look closely, there is a tree behind the altar laden with beer bottles and glasses, put together, perhaps unsurprisingly, by the Men's Group.

I wasn't feeling too great so didn't take many photos. It really is the case that when you've seen the festival one year, there's not that many differences in succeeding years.

The children's trees were magnificent. All the local primary schools were represented, as were the Brownies, Rainbow Guides, Girl Guides and Scouts. It seemed invidious just to choose one as the winner.
