Unexpectedly, we're doing the decorating of the Butler's kitchen and bathroom ourselves as our friend and decorator Dave is in hospital.

A small note to self:  All this decorating derives from simply changing a bulb.

Blown bulb.
Changing bulb proves difficult to do, fitting's on it's last legs and I never liked these downlighter spots anyway.
Get spark to change spots for LED units.
While you're here, there are two more in the bathroom...
Get plasterer to fill the six large holes that now ventilate the ceilings.
We may as well get rid of these dayglo yellow walls while we're painting the ceiling.
Hmm, wood need touching up, and the blinds are naff.
Shower screen seal's worn out; the riser's held together with a tie-wrap.
The 1970's beige tiles will have to stay, sadly.
For now.

Hmm, got plenty of spare spotlight bulbs now.
