It's been a trifle DAMP.

Rain Gauge in garden registers up to 2". Since 08:00 we've had 1.5".
My money's on too much to measure by a.m. I think I'll empty it at 00:00(ish).

We HAD intended not to stir over the doorstep today, but needs must, so I included a few extra miles out to Brougham Castle - they don't need a Moat.
For those unused to the area the "Extra" depicts the maximum width expected of the River Eamont and is shot downstream from the same vantage point.
BTW - Sorry about the "smudges" it's a bit difficult to keep horizontal rain off the lens when pointed upwind.
Got it wrong AGAIN Dad.
1st Extra is looking towards Eamont from A 66.
2nd is the one I intended as "extra".
