Life through the lens...

By ValC

A woofing Merry Christmas.

What an enjoyable evening was had by all last night.
Our usual Yorkshire puddings and onion gravy to start, and then carve yourself roast beef, more Yorkshire puds , roast potatoes, red cabbage, mixed roasted root vegetables. Followed by Christmas Apple crumble and custard.
As we would say" Full to busting"!
The wine tasting was great too. Six Bordeaux wines. All red clarets except the delicious sweet wine we had with the crumble. To finish a vintage Port!
So glad we had our "chauffeur" to collect us!
James who presented the wines, is so amusing. Had us laughing all night.
( a very clever salesman too!)

Nice lie in this morning, and had a browse around Ilkley, before driving back home.
The town is always beautifully decorated at Christmas.
I loved this shop window.
Didn't realise at first that it was a very posh pet shop. Or to be more precise Barkers for Dogs!
What some people must spend on their canine friends at Christmas is unbelievable !

It has been another mild and sunny day. Hard to believe , as we were walking round, that it is December.
I hope this weather is helping the people who have been flooded. I just cannot imagine what they must all be going through.
To see the news is heartbreaking .
