Diary of an Edinburgher

Seasonal colours

Archie had two outings during the day - we even went to the Links in the gale. No dogs to play with, just one ball-obsessed collie, but he had a good old run around, while I hirpled around the path.

Back home and he just had to have a beard'n'paw wash. My nose isn't as sensitive as JR's, so if I sensed he needed a wash'n'brush-up, then he must have been well overdue!

Didn't do much after that - I find I do a few household chores (washing, setting the fire - no energetic dusting or hoovering) and we are Archie is happy to snooze the afternoon away while I read my Kindle.

The fire was put on, and when JR came home - to the usual hysterical welcome (from the dog - I just say 'Hi') - we watched a movie on Netflix. One that I had been tempted to go to recently - Testament to Youth. Actually, I'm quite glad I didn't bother going to the movie, as I found it overly long, beautifully filmed, but rather tedious.

News today which made me laugh - a Scottish MP was ruled to have told a 'blatant lie' ' (in the run up to the recent elections and faced the possibility of having to resign), but the court noted that there was 'reasonable doubt' over whether the lie could be characterised as a 'false statement of fact ' in relation to (his) personal character or conduct'.

So he got off.

Brilliant.

This is Archie doing his one-eyed look in the wind in front of some seasonal colours.
