Captain's light

An earlier start to a Saturday than I like but necessary to be able to fit everything in. The first thing being the annual trip to a half way point for a present swap. We were there by 9:30 having driven through lots of rain. A potter around the shop, a secret santa purchase made and bizarre service that we have not experienced before. Bailey came along for the ride, mainly because he wasn't invited on the second trip of the day which was a trip out to the bestest friend's school to see their Christmas production. Full on effort, not least from the Music teacher who played every single piece, including at least one that he wasn't expecting to. It was good to have a tour around and to be able to see things that I have heard about. A lovely meal out too and a catch up in very comfortable (and well-lit)  surroundings.

Home to Bailey who showed an interest in being awake for a while before settling down for the rest of the evening. Anyone would think that he had driven around a hundred miles today instead of having a day where he generally took it easy.

It'll be another early start tomorrow to get Y13s trial exams marked ready for Monday's deadline and before we head out in the afternoon for another pre-Christmas catch-up. Good job there's only 4 days to do next week. I am definitely counting down.
