Rat Patrol

For a while now we've had rats going through the roof again. Minstrel sits in the kitchen looking intently to where the sound of their footsteps comes from like he's on rat patrol. 

He certainly doesn't deter them, which was the intention when we adopted him - not that that matters now! He did catch a small one once and we were very proud of him, but I really don't want him to encounter a fully grown one! He's a very small cat!

But this furry cat that lives in one of the neighbouring houses is also on rat patrol, and I'm sure he could handle a bigger one if he got the chance.

I think he's a Maine Coon, or a Norwegian Forest. He's a beautiful cat but I wish his people would brush him a bit more!
