Elf on the Shelf

Today we have been over to see Jeri and family. I cooked a fish pie which was rather yummy! I'm not normally a fan of fish to eat, but this was OK - better than OK, in fact!

The Grandboys introduced me to The Elf on the Shelf. He's a character from a children's story who visits the homes of children in December to be the eyes and ears of Santa so he knows who's been naughty or nice! It's working a little bit with the younger boys but Horatio, the eldest keeps doing naughty things because he's "too excited"! He's so cute with it that I'm sure he will stay on the Nice list though! Shame I did not realise the silver Christmas tree was in front of his part of the picture on the shelf!

we ended up having tea in Burger King as Brian forgot to get bacon out of the freezer for bacon butties! Never mind! The BK made a nice change and we can have the butties another day!
