One With Heart

My friend Janessa, a black belt, started her studio, One With Heart, in the eighties. My granddaughter is learning self-defense moves from her (on the left In this photo) and tells me about the transformation she feels coming to know the confidence of a strong body, aware of her personal strength and power. I feel grateful that she is learning this truth in the face of the misinformation girls receive in the media and popular culture.
