Deer Sunrise.

A great walk this morning, yet again starting in the dark but right from the start there was a hint of something developing in the sky.

We negotiated the tricky steps down to Altar Lane with torches and mobile phones and as we reached the fields across the lane we could just make out the light bodies of about 6-8 deer against the far fence.

Looking down to Bingley the sky was yet again taking on a fantastic colour - this could have been a repeat shot of yesterday's with a pylon on the same route but further down the hill. (Thank you by the way for your hearts and stars yesterday it is currently residing on P 3 - P 2 now -of popular.)

Into the woods followed by the red light and a similar number of deer ran past us just below the path.

When we got down to the fields at Ravenroyd the light was different but still beautiful and this is where I took my blip. Last sighting of a deer here too.

A splendid morning walk - the downside; lots of mud impeding progress; a steep climb back up the lane and steps into the St Ives wood and it was so warm some of us had to take off our coats! - not sure if that is a downside or not!

Happy pre-Christmas weekend everybody.
