Water Babies

Last day today.
It always seems like we're here for ages and yet no time at all!
Mr K went to get the car first thing and we packed up after breakfast. We set a new family record and were out of our villa by 1015am!!
And we didn't forget anything.
That I know of!!
While Mr K cycled down to the pool with the Little Misses I took the car back to the car park, picked up Mr K's bike (after I'd got the woman in the Cycle Centre to cut off the lock with bolt cutters because I'd brought the wrong key!!) and cycled back to the pool to meet them.
Five hours later, wrinkly and knackered we got out for the last time!
We met Mrs R, Mr A and their three boys who've come for the weekend. Mr J is in Miss E's class and she was pleased to see him. They all played for ages in the pool giving me and Mrs R the chance to chat. Very nice!
Eventually after quite a few just one more go's we got out, had one more dance in the body driers and headed back to the bikes for a ride to The Pancake House for an early dinner.
It got dark while we were in there so it was lovely to have one last ride through the village enjoying all the twinkling lights.
It was less enjoyable to watch the Little Misses veering around all over the road into the path of the cars which are allowed to drive around on changeover day but thankfully we got back to the car in one piece.
Just over half an hour later and we were home.
And it's as if we've never been away.
Just a few hours ago we were in a sub-tropical paradise and now we're in a sub-zero freezing house!!
Nice to see all our beautiful decorations again though. And catch up on EastEnders!!!
