Glencoyne

Today was the first time I had ventured down to Ullswater since the flooding over 2 weeks ago. I was shocked at just how high the water had been. Even now it was still up to the road, here at Glencoyne, and still over the damaged road surface at the Duke of Portland boathouse near Pooley Bridge.

Today was the best day we've had weather-wise for some time with quite a bit of sunshine this afternoon and a lovely day social-wise, too. The Mate took the Wood Workshop staff and the Art By Camera staff out to Breakfast, so four of us enjoyed a nice end of season meal at the Cocklakes Farm Shop cafe. Thank you, That Mate!

After our meal The Mate and I did some preparation for a venture we are undertaking next year, but more of that later, ... much later .... perhaps!
