A Rainbow

7.4C with bright spells and squally showers. Wind to 26 mph with gusts to 44 mph.

Quick trip down to the local Coop this morning to get last minute fresh carrots and potatoes for tomorrow. Somehow a bottle of Prosecco and a bottle of Sherry made their way into my basket.

Maeve the Deerhound and I went for a walk after lunch. Van Morrison on the Nano (Avalon Sunset and Down the Road). Had to be after watching a rerun of the Up on Cypress Avenue concert on telly last night.

We went up to the church then continued out along the country road to Scryne. We turned right at Craigmill farm and went down the track to the shore road. We got caught in a squall as we came down the track which was a shame as Maeve was brushed last evening and was looking tidy (and so I hadn't put her coat on).

We walked back along the cycle path and went over the road bridge over the railway and down to the beach at Westhaven to look at the waves rushing in to shore and I was lucky enough to catch sight of a rainbow under a large cloud out at sea. We stayed long enough to grab a few shots then we crossed back over the railway line and carried on round in a long loop heading into Carnoustie and up the main road before turning along for home.

Note: With apologies to the Abstract Thursday blippers ... the rainbow won !
