King Harry Ferry

We visited Falmouth today, and part of the journey was via the King Harry  Ferry (this was taken on board looking up the River Fal) which cuts out quite a bit of driving if travelling from the Roseland Peninsula. This ferry is one of only 5 remaining chain ferries in England. We have a small chain ferry in Stratford, but I don't know if this is counted in the five, as it is passenger only and quite small. The King Harry Ferry takes vehicles too, and is very useful for locals who commute to "the mainland" every day , for work.
In Falmouth we had a walk around, but it was beginning to blow a hooley, so we retired to Rick Stein's  Seafood Restaurant for a lunch. Lunch was excellent, but as I was driving I stuck to water - it would have been nice to have had a glass of the old Pinot to accompany my food.
We are now back at the cottage for the evening, and the wind is quite strong - we've put wedges in the sash windows to stop the rattling.
My extra is one of our group, Mat, doing his fisherman look in the restaurant.
