A Ruined Day

I (Chris) got a book called Wild Ruins for Christmas (from someone that knows me well!). It details ruined buildings that can be explored all over the UK. With some blue in the sky, we thought today would be a good one to test it out.

First we visited Segenhoe Church near Ridgmont in Bedfordshire (and pictured in the blip), which was abandoned in 1968. We then went on a few miles to Houghton House near Ampthill, a National Heritage owned ruin. It was built in 1615 and a large structure, it would have been an impressive property back then. See the extra.

A fun day out and the book's instructions were excellent.
