Tiny Tuesday

Dragon Fruit (Pitaya)
Noticed these fresh dragon fruit in the shop today and thought it might make a good Tiny Tuesday subject and a nice snack! :)

Originally from Mexico these plants have travelled to many parts of the world and can be found all through south east Asia and northern Australia. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pitaya

The white flesh is slightly like kiwi fruit and has a very mild sweet taste and a lovely feel in the mouth. The exterior is so colourful and beautiful it always makes me think of a cartoon fruit! :o)

I've put a different shot in as an extra just so you can get more of an idea how it looks after I've cut the top part off.
