Another Grey Day

There wasn't a lot of colour on the lake today, just a bit of green moss on the stones. Still masses of water everywhere.

We went down to Pooley Bridge to see the havoc wreaked by Storm Desmond a month ago. A dismal sight, indeed! Had a huge hot chocolate in the cafe next to the place which was once a lovely bridge. Wanted to support the small business which had stayed open, not just stop, gawp and leave.

This almost mono shot was taken from one of my regular lay-bys at Sharrow Bay.The difference being that I usually go round the end of the trees to photograph the famous hotel.

BTW: Cold getting better, eating a little better, coughing a little less. Getting used to being 64!
