China Cabinet Plus

Absolutely nothing worth photographing happened to me today, and everything I did do, including walking the dogs was done in pouring rain. A semiannual trip to the dermatologist resulted in the donation of several more bits of flesh, and separate trips to the pharmacy and the lab. The car needed gas.

Dana traveled (is still traveling) to Indiana for Jim's father's funeral, and we had just a taste of the scheduling occasioned by two high school boys, two dogs and two cats (who disappear whenever we're around). We went to their house to have dinner ready for Will who had a basketball game at 6 and Peter who came home from soccer practice just as Will was leaving. Dogs had to be fed. Dana left a note on a cabinet saying, "I would feed Rudy cottage cheese and rice for a couple more days...There is no cottage cheese or rice :-("

The boys take the same flights to Indiana tomorrow. Jim called from there to ask us to make sure the boys pack and to remind Will not to forget his driving license and wallet. Dana texted that she had just landed at O'Hare...one more flight to go.
OilMan will sleep at their house to make sure they get up at 4:15am. Rudy threw up under the bed and Dana didn't have time to clean up... I remember those days...

My blurry picture is of the ancestral china cabinet which I gave Dana because we couldn't fit into our dining room because we don't have a dining room. I love the combination of OilMan's nana's tea cups, my grandmother's Haviland china plates, Will and Peter's trophies, signed baseballs, paper mache pigs and water buffaloes. Charmingly random....
