Common Kingfisher(Alcedo atthis)

What a treat, went down to see if she approved of the new perches and couldn't believe it when she went from one to the other merrily showing off her supreme fishing skills and all the time not being put off by me pointing my len at her. She really is a star and I love her, she is such a beautiful bird and now I want her to find a nice male Kingfisher. She is very accomplished at catching fish and as you can see she is in perfect condition.Funnily enough I now see three female Kingfishers in different locations, but I have never seen a male. Can't wait to go back and watch her again. The extras are of her in different poses and with a fish!
