Spider - Tiny Tuesday 33

Spiders seem to be some of the favourite subjects for Tiny Tuesday blips but here's a big one. He's the subject of a book published in our village and illustrated by one of our village's talented artists, Justin Leeming.
Worth a blip, not only because I've just bought a copy to take to my grandchildren in Germany later this week but also because all the money raised will go to a wonderful local children's hospice - Martin House Children's Hospice .
However, there's a touching story behind the book. Marcellus Springer has motor neurone disease but wanted to leave a special memento for his grandchildren, Amelia, James, Matilda and Felicity (extra: seen with the spider in the book). Marcellus wrote a 6 verse poem about a spider and asked Justin to illustrate it so that it could be made into a book, one copy for each of the children.
Someone suggested that such a book might sell more widely so now it has been produced in rather larger numbers and is being sold to support the children's hospice.
Although I've now just bought one copy for my grandchildren, I'll later be seeing if I can't sell a few more.
