The second half of life..

Hot toes

Coffee with K & C in the morning morphed into a leisurely walk along the lakeside where, with the rest of the whanau, we explored and enjoyed finding patches of geo-thermal activity which creates warm-to-hot toes when they're dug into the sand!  It's not everwhere you get to find naturally heated beaches - must be wonderful in the winter.  The walk morphed into lunch then it was time for me to say my good-byes and head south.  Safe travels K, C and boys - hope it's not too long until we can catch up again.

Decided tonight's landing spot would be one of the few places I could find along the Desert Road.  It's a fews kms off the main highway beside the Rangipo inlet so my lullaby tonight was thunderous water, gushing into the Rangipo River via 2 large inlet 'pipes'.  one other campervan had the same idea!
