Waiting

3.5C. Freezing overnight. Bright with long sunny spells. Light Easterly breeze.

Maeve the Deerhound and I went for a walk after lunch. Runrig on the Nano (The Big Wheel and Searchlight). We went up to the church then continued out along the country road to Scryne. The farmer from Craigmill farm was working around the farmyard changing a forklift tool for a digger/bucket on his forklift. We turned right at the farm and went down the track to the shore road. The track was frozen but the ice we saw yesterday had cleared and it was easy walking.

We walked along the cycle path to Westhaven. In the little fields by the level crossing one of a series of tractors with trailers full of composted material we saw while we were out was waiting to cross the railway line before spreading the load over the long narrow field on the shore side of the line. Not having had a tractor shot for a while I couldn't resist. We carried on round in a long loop heading into Carnoustie and up the main road before turning along for home.
