Jack the Peacock

Jack the Peacock was strutting his stuff down by Weir and Keepers Cottages at dusk. He stopped to pose for a photo then checked out my newly washed MX-5...or was that just to check his reflection?

Jack likes to hang out in the garden of the cottages and behaves more like a domestic cat than a peacock parading his territory and waiting to be fed.

A bitter cold (and therefore brisk) 1.5 mile walk across the Leeds Castle parkland in the fading afternoon light was both invigorating and peaceful. Afterwards I was most grateful for a warming cup of tea with my good friends Chris and Mark.

Chilling tonight and getting as much rest as possible. After all that's what January is all about.
