Life and Death in the Garden

This aged rugosa rose hip is home to several tiny insects, content with the shelter and food that it provides.

I did a quick search, trying to identify the little bugs -- the largest one clearly has long, outsize antennae and two front legs on each side that are thicker than the other legs (see close up extra). There are four different little critters on the extra photo, including Mr. Big, and several other "maybes".

If you're not fond of bug shots, do take a look at the very cute wildlife shot that Phil posted today, and don't miss his extra.

This is my 1459th blip -- tomorrow's better have a more attractive subject!
