Sunny Trees

A late morning / early afternoon walk today. It was quite cold as we set off, but once we got out into the sun it was really very pleasant.

It was still quite wet underfoot in woods but the footpaths and bridleways are beginning to dry out a little.

As we were going around the cloud cover began to increase although the sun remained out - and this was the scene near one of the farms, the sun picking out the trees nicely against the darker clouds.

We also passed a burnt tree - at the scene of last year's haystack fire - and again I thought the charred remains stood out in contrast to the golden elephant grass and clouds behind it. Included in extras.

I also grabbed a shot of a couple of passing Tornado jets which were flying quite low and very close together. They were just cruising along at low speed, so although quite noisy there wasn't any ear-splitting shriek as they passed.
