Another cold grey day - very frosty and a lot of fog about.

Finlay and I walked up to Headley Hall and came across this lot! It is the final stages of the power line upgrade which has been going on for 21 months.

These guys are removing the hardcore stone that was laid to allow vehicular access to the site.

On the way back I spoke to the guy in the orange hi-vis whilst we waited for the lorry to exit the site. It is taking about 10 days to clear this site alone. He has several more to clear - about 70,000 tonnes of the stuff in all.

It gets shipped back to the supplier -who pays them about half of what they bought it for! It will then get sold again to another contractor.
