One daze at a time...

Wild colours

Today's dose* of chromatherapy is brought to you by Berta.
She was part of an animated group of rain tourists.
Rain tourism is really on the rise in many Mediterranean countries that suffer from sunny "spells" that can go on for weeks.

There is also a linguistic element to these trips, whereby these young people are supposed to absorb the language spoken around them. In this case Spanish, as they usually travel in large and homogeneous packs.

It was delightful to see these brightly coloured young people greedily soaking in our precious drizzle. One could tell that they were really making the most of it.
The Irish Rain Tourism Board that had bought advertising space in their parched homeland had delivered on the promises: rain guaranteed. Or you money back**

* homeopathic it ain't!
** terms and conditions apply. Sunny spells of between 20 minutes and 36 hours in duration do not constitute a breach of contract
