Assassin!

This is an assassin bug doing what it is named for to a leaf hopper.  I read with interest that the nymphs progress through 5 stages before reaching adulthood.  This is either the 3rd or 4th stage of the common assassin bug.  That long proboscis is for piercing it's prey which is what it is doing to the leaf hopper.  I thought I would post this today for Tiny Tuesday even though it is Wednesday as I missed out because of 'Stralia Day.  I hope I am excused!

Thanks for the lovely comments yesterday on our "family portrait".
