The Sea Didn't Look to Rough

7.7C (apparently it was 11.0C at 3am) with bright spells and squally showers from time to time. Wind to 41 mph with gusts to 70 mph. Gusts have been 55 mph and above constantly since 3am. I did hear a report of an 80 mph gust this morning on the Tay bridge, which was closed to all vehicles. This afternoon there has been a gust of 105 mph on Shetland ... thats windy. Hurricane strength. Storm Gertrude has been very stormy.

It was the turn of my little office/computer room for the big clear out today. Another load of stuff that I have just accumulated for years went to the dump. Even although I haven't used some of the software (on CD and DVD) for years it was a wrench to part with it.

Maeve the Deerhound and I went for a walk after lunch. No Nano today. Just a 2 mile loop down to the shore road and round the main road and back home. We did go over the road bridge over the railway to Westhaven beach to see what the sea looked like. With the wind out of the West the sea didn't look too rough, at least close to shore.
