Carskey Bay

7.9C and bright with few clouds and plenty of direct sunlight. Light SSE/ESE/SE breeze.

Grocery shopping over by mid morning. Maeve the Deerhound stayed at home.

We went the ten miles or so South to Southend then followed the road round past Dunaverty beach and Kiel to Carskey Bay. On the way round we saw a few seals on the rocks at Kiel. The tide was in, so too early to see more seals hauled out on the rocks. We had a walk along the beach at Carskey Bay with Maeve the Deerhound. As we walked along three young seals kept popping up from the waves next to the shore to have a look at us. They followed along just offshore for quite a while before disappearing and then we saw two of them again as we came back to the car park end of the beach.

No eggs for sale at Little farm today.

A welcome visit from Mother Shipton and her husband while son 'KK' was involved with football training over at the all weather pitch this afternoon.

Later Apothecary7 was painting.
