A Day Worth Recording

Wallage & Pat

Some time back we dismantled the top half of this wall to make it less lethal.

The task of rebuilding it had been maturing nicely under a carpet of leaves, but having found fast, skilled, and reasonably priced Wall People a more proactive approach seemed appropriate.

Not sure E has quite got over me suggesting we 'get someone in' to do a job I was going to do.  Have to say, one guy has solely been mixing mortar all day and lugging it down the hill, which doesn't seem quite as attractive now.

A bit of spec creep has snuck into the paving task.  Apologies to whoever it was who created the brick paving to double as a teaching aid to the geography of the Himalayas; it's rather more Saharan now.

With a bit of a following wind, all three re-build threads will come to a neat end tomorrow.

Indoors, the PAT testing team of Karen & Steve got through 200+ electrical appliances in the house.  OK, so not everyone has 4 washing machines, six fridges, twenty bedside lights and apparently 170 other things with a 13A plug on.

Meanwhile, we've been merging sets of furniture.  Anyone who's merged sets of software will understand quite what the house now looks like.
