Journey Through Time

Blanket Flower

Gaillardia, the blanket flowers, is a genus of drought-tolerant annual and perennial plants from the sunflower family, native to North and South America.

This flower is in a yard close by the lady with all the wonderful roses. Today I liked this image I took when Bill and I went on our walk around the 'hood. This gorgeous, bright colored flower spreads and it looks like a Flower Fiesta is going on where she has these planted. It's a casual garden with perennials of many kinds sprinkled all over her large front garden.

We had a guy who came to clean our windows. I was thinking of blipping him, but it wasn't all that interesting, really. However, our windows are sparkling! What a nice treat to have somebody else do them and do them correctly. Makes a big difference.

A lovely summer day which is cooling off nicely tonight with a nice breeze to also cool things down. All in all, a nice day.

Hope things are sparkling in your corner of the world, Blippers.

Oh, and taken with the Nifty Fifty! What a cool lens.
