Mono Monday : Transition

Here is a transition from death into life, as slow disintegration takes hold of the Chinese Lantern plant (Physalis alkekengi). The bright red balloon flower has changed into a skeletal enclosure containing one bright red fruit.  Inside the fruit there are many tiny seeds, all of which have the ability to transition into new plants.
