Cicada exoskeletons

I called on a cousin on my way home from taking blipmate to the airport.
The cousin lives on a rural property and the cicada noise was deafening.
He showed me his water tank stand which was covered in the exoskeletons that the cicadas had left behind. Dozens of them. I rushed taking them and only one half decent image but you get the picture.
I have managed to now watch a you tube video of what happens as the cicada leaves the skin he has outgrown.
