Multiform

6.0C with a bright start then quickly becoming dull with sleety showers. Brightening up again from late morning. Light North Westerly breeze turning North North Easterly.

Apothecary7's day off. We went into Dundee (2 cars), dropped Apothecary7's car off at the dealer's to have the sensor fitted to fix the auto headlight issue and to have a service , then had tea/coffee and croissants in M&S cafe, and bought a few groceries. Then we took Maeve the Deerhound for a walk in Dundee. Not quite as far as the Howff, but almost. Potential Abstract Thursday images were obtained. In a departure from my boat hull abstracts I have combined two images and have gone "multiform" after Rothko this week. I deliberately left the little blemish/mark. I like it.

Mark Rothko, born Markus Yakovlevich Rotkovich (September 25, 1903 – February 25, 1970), was an American painter of Russian Jewish descent. Although Rothko himself refused to adhere to any art movement, he is generally identified as an Abstract Expressionist. With Jackson Pollock and Willem de Kooning, he is one of the most famous postwar American artists.

Back home and before lunch we took Maeve the Deerhound for a walk. We went down the road to the shore to Westhaven and went over the road bridge over the railway line. The tide was well out. We walked along the beach towards Carnoustie then joined the path to walk along as far as the railway station where we turned up to the High Street to make our way back home up the main road before turning along for home.

Later we went back into Dundee in my car and after another short detour which involved a short walk Apothecary7 picked up her car from the dealer. Headlight issue fixed and service done but it turns out another part is needed for the tailgate wiper! The dealer (feeling contrite for not getting to the bottom of the wiper issue last week) offered to keep the car overnight (not good for Apothecary7), or offered to pick up the car and return it once the part was in stock (also not good for Apothecary7). So ... once the part is in stock another visit will have to be arranged on another day off ... the saga continues.
