5.8C with a sunny morning with some clouds and a bright afternoon. Light to moderate NNW/N/NE breeze.

Maeve the Deerhound was up at 5.30am. We went for our walk.

Apothecary7's day off.

About 10.30 am we went to Westport beach with Maeve and had a long walk towards Machrihanish. There was one big black cloud which left the beach in shadow for a lot of the time, otherwise it was sunny and bright. The wind was cold when walking into it. There were a few people and a few dogs scattered along the length of the beach. Islay, Jura, and Gigha were much clearer than on our last few visits. There was a little snow on the Paps of Jura.

Glenbarr for lunch. On the way we spotted surfers in one of the roadside laybys, waiting for good waves.

6 nations rugby. Italy well beaten buy Ireland. Next Wales v England.

Apothecary7 was continued with rag rug making.
