Up Periscope

Playmate of the month was just receiving an important phone call so I was left huddling out the wind and driving sleety rain. The silver lining – a stunning blip opportunity.
We’d just been to see Rams at the Filmhouse. What a little gem of a film. Reminded me of ‘Village and the End of the World’. But maybe just because it was somewhere that was cold. Worth the entrance money to see the sweaters alone. And the sheep got their names in the cast.
Meanwhile across town, the daughter was settling into her seat to watch Hearts exit the Cup in painful fashion. Still, one positive that came out of it was the periscope app. Christ, how long before the authorities clamp down on that? One geezer was live streaming the whole game from the Hearts end. Over 3000 viewers at one point – even Hearts fans in Australia were watching. All you need is a twitter account and a camera phone. Dangerous stuff – I’ve already watched a bloke fixing a USB lead in Newcastle for no reason. While he spoke Arabic. And not to be left out, I did a quizzical face and tousled my hair. One viewer!
