Cherry Blossoms

As many others in widespread parts of the globe have reported, the weather has been more than usually unpredictable. Yesterday everybody was digging out their shorts and flip flops and heading for the beach here.. This morning it was cloudy and cool with rain in the forecast.

The delicious chocolate mousse bombe bomb cake we had enjoyed in inexcusable quantity at a neighbor's birthday party last night was weighing heavily on both of us this morning, so we got out early and walked Ozzie around the short course.I stopped to take a picture of a couple of cherry trees in full bloom before the impending wind and rain had a chance to dash them to the ground. It is unusual to see them blooming at the same time as the plum trees so they must be confused by the weather too.

The rain, when it came, was a good excuse sit hole up  for most of the day finishing up the blue cardigan I have been working on for months, while OilMan toiled over what he refers to as 'finances'. Unlike me, he balances the checkbook to the penny every month. The job is getting easier as the writing of checks  is replaced by credit cards and online banking.

Our Blue Apron box has arrived, so the only task left, other than cooking it, is to decide which meal to have tonight…
