Skeleton of the Gairloch

We have had a really neat day - up and away before 8.30 am to photograph an incredible building, the Govett-Brewster Art Gallery or the Len Lye Centre as it is sometimes called.  I didn't want to leave!

The reflections from another equally incredible building was a photographer paradise........(take a look at my link below.

We then went for a drive to Fitzroy Beach where they were holding a competition of surfing, and other water activities. (again to be seen in the link below).

Then to Pukekura Park and Gardens - just wonderful and we hope to go back there for further investigations. All of the above filled in the morning!!!

Rested and watched cricket for a couple of hours and fed the inner man before setting off on a mission.

I wanted to find the wreck of the Gairloch,  Some information I had seen photos of it but we weren't too sure exactly where it was.  But, find it we did and I took a few pictures, which is my blip today as it Derelict Sunday.  Mt Taranaki is just to the right of the skeleton and covered in cloud.
Tomorrow evening, if conditions are favourable, we will return with better light and a higher tide.

Here are some images from our day :)

Enjoy & sorry, but there isn't any time for commenting.

PS - skeena, this looked pretty ordinary in mono, hence colour.
