Dougal

Today did not go as planned! Dougal came home last night with a poorly eye; the vets were closed.

I took him this morning and they extracted two large grass seeds with grass still attached from his eye. He was very good, but had to have a local anesthetic followed by some dye to see what damage there was. He has an enormous ulcer on his eye and has to go back on Monday.

Why can I get an appointment at the vets within four hours, but to see my doctor I have to wait two weeks? I suppose that is the difference between the free NHS and paying £73.30 at the vets.
