Gently down the stream

At the Mill

Today I went down to the City Mill (owned by the National Trust) as I knew it was a milling day.  They produce wonderful wholemeal flour on the old equipment, ground from local wheat.  It's powered by the River Itchen and at night otters travel through the mill race - caught very efficiently on the motion sensor cameras.  I rather hoped my lovely friend Redflash and her husband would be milling and indeed here she is, weighing the flour into bags to be sold in the NT shop.

Apart from that, not very much today - and how nice that feels.

Enjoy your evening  xx
