Orchid flower

Several of my orchids have been producing new flower buds for some time now.  At last, one of the buds on a plant, which is standing on the kitchen window sill, has opened today.

It was yet another grey, but also very windy day and it was a relief that I didn't have to go outside. I'll have to go to work tomorrow though and hope that the wind will be less strong then.
