Kitchen

We are constantly on the lookout for authentic Mexican experiences rather than tourist influenced Mexican experiences. No where is this more important than with restaurants. Yes, we enjoy the fancy food places with amazing views, great architecture, attentive service and prices to match (though not too often), but we are always searching for places where we are the only white face at the tables. Fortunately our friend Carlos knows many of these great local places. Shelley wanted just such a place for her birthday weekend breakfast, so we were off to San Jeronimito, a small town south of Zihuatanejo on highway Mex 200. This is the kitchen where our breakfast was prepared, which we enjoyed at a plastic table next to the street. And yes, we were the only gringos in attendance.
