Brilliant Books

A fairly tempestuous day, due to the fact that we're both completely shattered... roll on the weekend... So instead of a shot of our day you've got a book review...

One of the highlights of every day with little un is story time... She gave up on having a nap a few months ago now,  so instead I always try to include some quiet time each day... just the two of us and some books, with her cuddled on my knee...

We've got some fantastic books in tiddlypom's collection and the best have been tried and tested gifts from friends and family... A current favourite of mine (which is still a little bit too old for little un but still captures her interest)  is 'Rosie Revere, Engineer'  by Andrea Beaty and David Roberts...  (A present from Dave's little bro and family).  It tells the tale of a little girl who likes to invent things but is too lacking in confidence to show or discuss her inventions for fear of failure and being laughed at...

This is the page in the book where Rosie's Great Great Aunt teaches her the true secret of success and how to be a creative genius...  Advice that works for any age, gender or background... so I'm sharing it with all of you this evening, in the hope that you have a funfilled and creative weekend :-)
