Cuba day seven - Viñales

We set off from Havana this morning, in a classic car taxi, for the three hour journey to Viñales. An eye opening drive, with all manner of life to be seen at the side of the motorway - people hitching lifts or waiting for buses, men riding horses and carts the wrong way down the outside lane, people selling onions in the inside lane, having to slow right down for huge pot holes...!

We spent the afternoon exploring Viñales, then sat on the casa (Casa Sunny Balcony House) balcony whilst the sun set (the main blip for today is the view from the balcony). Viñales is very different to Havana; a small, rural town where most people still use some form of animal as transport, along with a few electronic scooters, some rickety old vans and the odd classic car.

We headed into town in the evening, where I found a bar that gave you the whole bottle of rum with your piña colada, to pour to your liking - that's my kind of bar!
