The Sledvelope!!

What a huge surprise awaited CCN and I when we collected our mail from the Post Office Box today.  For the first time ever we received a letter contained in a "Sledvelope" been that had spent much of its time in transit with a Sled Dog Team.  It's part of a ritual that has just celebrated its 32nd Anniversary.

Our wonderful blip buddy Subjunctive very kindly sent us a letter via the "Sequin Sled Dog Mail Run" that runs between Humphrey to Rosseau in Ontario.  It's a great concept and obviously has become a huge event in Canada.  Needless to say we didn't leave the carpark until we had read the accompanying Flyer and letter from Paula from cover to cover.

I was interested to read that this year's stamp features a 12 year old lead dog called Cory.  The photograph was taken by Natalie Krill from Ohio.  At 17 years old, Natalie has already become an accomplished photographer.  I think someone should tell Natalie about blipfoto!!

Now you tell me.....what a dull life it would be without blipfoto!!  Thanks to blip our life is full of surprises :-)
