WTF....

Tampopo are a Manchester based noodle bar selling noodles flavoured by the herbs and spices from south east Asia. They started with just the one and have expanded slowly over the years. Other companies make a dash for growth and some are successful, but others crash and burn. Tampopo have three restaurants in the city, one in Albert Square, another in the Corn Exchange and a third in the Trafford Centre. They have recently opened one on East Street in London’s Fitzrovia. Nice to see a restaurant chain from Manchester opening in London. All the traffic seems to be the other way, with London based concerns lining up to open in Manchester. I’ve been to Tampopo in Manchester several times, the noodles are delicious and they do a great freshly squeezed range of fruit juices.

This is the restaurant in Albert Square. I was attracted to it by the bicycle outside with the WTF sign on (Where’s The Food!). They use it to deliver hot noodles to your desk if you are too busy to leave. When it’s not doing that it’s sitting outside doing a bit of advertising.
