Up in the Air

We have had a fantastic time away but today we start the long journey home. the drive to Johannesburg and the airport could take anything between 4 and 6 hours - we had all day though as our flight wasn't leaving until 7.40 pm.  Our drive was leisurely and we stopped to look at a few things along the way - one landscape was the most enormous reservoir we have ever seen - its purpose to supply Joburg with water - so it had to be big.  I didn't think a vast expanse of hazy blue water would be a very good blip though.
As we got closer to our destination I spotted this tractor stuck on a pole and, as we had time, we drove back down the other carriageway so that I could get a photograph from the right side of the road - then we carried onto the airport.  Check in went smoothly and I did try to blip before we boarded the eight hour flight to Abu Dhabi but the wifi wasn't good enough for uploading - so I'm afraid this is another back blip.
Next stage is another eight hour flight into London, Heathrow.
