Black Beck

Black Beck…
…or in Swedish Svartån. This frozen beck, about 2 meters across, runs out from the nearby Bölesjön (Böle Lake).
I tried zooming in even closer and that created a lovely abstract looking mix of black and white (see thumbnail), but in the end I preferred to leave in enough of the banks to make it clear that it is a stream.
The black areas froze last, since the last snow fell, and the white patches on the ice are frost flowers, forming on the ice, crystals growing as moisture in the air freezes and adds itself to each branch of these “ice flowers".
The extra shows the stream set in its surrounding forest.
